In 2027, I am travelling around the world from January 1st to December 31st. The route has 5 main sections.
The United States, ~3 months. The trip starts with a 3 month road trip around the US, going down the west coast, into the interior, out to Florida, then back up and across dipping into Canada on the way west.
Europe, ~3 months. Starting in the UK and Scandinavia, then moving west across northern Europe, then back east through the south and into the Balkans.
Africa & Central Asia, 1 to 2 months. As I have less contacts in these regions, I will be more focused on the landmarks and history, going through the wonders, through West Africa, South Africa, and back up the east, and into Central Asia, and India.
East Asia and Oceania, 4 to 5 months. I plan to spend several weeks in China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and other surrounding nations.
South and Central America, 2 to 4 weeks. This section is the wrap up, and as it's closer to home I can return more easily. I want to round out the trip visiting the 3 wonders here, and seeing the midnight sun.

Hosting and Support
I believe that the best way to learn about a place is to stay with a local and engage in the daily life. Hotels are a second choice for me. A guest room, a couch, or a floor all help. I do not ask for money, the trip is funded by my savings and work I do while travelling.
